This site evolved from a single long document. It was initially produced using Microsoft FrontPage 2002 (version 5.0, trial-copy) for Windows under Windoze 98 on a mildly-tweaked Micron Millennia MME 200MHz box. Some graphic manipulation took place in the little-image-editor-that-could, Windows Paint. Mild CSS formatting was embedded to control fonts. It was made by Blake shortly before and after Christmas 2002.

Presently Macromedia Dreamweaver 4.0 is used to maintain what has evolved into a 13-page site with over 470 images. Recently tested with Trillian 3.1 (which purportedly supports over 200 emoticons) and many of these icons may be animated.

While drinking organic Mexican coffee or Bahamian Kalik beer or Glenmorangie, Blake tested emoticons in a variety of instant messaging (IM) clients:

While listening to Spinner/Netscape and recently Monkey radio, Blake tested this web page in some browsers:

While procrastinating, Blake used a variety of resources in research and the construction of this document:

Blake grabbed some of the AOL/AIM emoticons symbols from this page:
http://www.zero-hero.com/ZeroHero_files/downloads_files/icon.htm.
You must access this with IE; it does not work in Netscape...

Animated GIF images for Trillian Pro were lifted directly from the application subfolders. New non-animated images for Trillian Pro were cut from the "emoticons.bmp" file using Macromedia Fireworks.

FavICON for site created using Windows Paint and trial version of CursorArts IconForge 6.28. new!
